Race for Babies 5K to benefit March of Dimes is Saturday

?The Race for Babies 5K to benefit the March of Dimes will be held Saturday at Salisbury Community Park, 935 Hurley School Road.
The event includes a 5K Run/Walk, Fun Walk and the Kids’ Fast Dash, sponsored by March of Dimes, Rowan Regional Medical Center, the Salisbury Rowan Runners and Salisbury Parks and Recreation.
The Kids’ Fast Dash, a half-mile fun run, will start at 9:25 a.m., with the 5K starting about 9:35 a.m. There will also be an untimed 5K walk following the other events that does not require an entry fee, but donations will support the March of Dimes effort.
Individual prizes for the Kids Fast Dash will be presented in the age groups 5 and under, 6-9, and 10-12. Awards in the 5K will be presented to the top three in 13 age groups for both males and females. Top three overall will receive cash prizes.
All timed entries will receive a March of Dimes Race for Babies T-shirt. Sleep walk registrations are available, allowing the participant to sleep in for $25. Sleep walk registrants will get a T-shirt also.
Registrations can be dropped off at the March of Dimes booth at the Salisbury Mall from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday.
