Shred-it Charlotte (www.shredit.com/charlotte), which provides secure on-site document destruction and Trinity Oaks Retirement Community are joining to hold a free shredding event for the public at Trinity Oaks, 728 Klumac Road, on Thursday, Sept. 20 (rain or shine) from 3-5 p.m. In addition to the free shredding service, Trinity Oaks will hold an open house and apartment tour featuring its residences for those over 60 beginning at 2 p.m.
Trinity Oaks, has been serving those over 60 since 1993. It is part of Lutheran Services Carolinas, a not-for-profit organization based in Salisbury. Reservations for the tour are encouraged. Call Linda Agner, 704-603-9204.
