Rowan County dispatchers received a call at 4:48 p.m. that an alleged robbery suspect was entering the county and was being followed by a victim, a Rowan County Sheriff’s Office press release said.
Rowan sheriff’s deputies responded to the Bringle Ferry Road area. The chase began in Davidson County and at some point entered Stanly County on High Rock Road. The suspect drove north on N.C. 49 from Richfield.
Rowan Sheriff’s deputies stopped the 2000 Chevy they had been chasing at N.C. 49 at Stokes Ferry Road, the release said.

A handgun and cash were found in the vehicle, all of which were seized by Davidson County deputies, according to the report.
