KANNAPOLIS – When Robinson’s Devon Gilbert ran in for a score and a 7-0 lead over A.L. Brown Friday night, there was plenty for Robinson fans to cheer about.
That’s where the cheering ended, however. Kalif Phillip and Johnny Delahoussaey scored quickly and the Wonders never looked back in a 69-21 win.
Eric Amaya added two field goals, Phillips had three scores by halftime. It was 38-7 quickly.
Keenan Medley scored for the Wonders for a 45-7 lead. Delahoussaey added his second score for a 52-7 lead. David Harris’ catch made it 59-14. Nafiz Drayton scored his first touchdown of the season.
Daveon Perry had an interception.
