Sloan ~ Farmer

KANNAPOLIS — Miranda Rachelle Sloan and Jonathan Brandon Farmer were united in marriage Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at Jackson Park United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Neal Brower and the Rev. Chuck Halipilias officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception.
The bride was escorted by her father and attended  by her sister, Melody Michele Sloan of Concord, as maid of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were friends of the bride Mary Green of Cayce, S.C., GracAnn Cates of Durham and Selena Couick of Waxhaw.
Larry G. Farmer stood as his son’s best man. Groomsmen included brother of the groom Brad Farmer of Salisbury and friends of the groom Bryson Nesbitt of Kannapolis and Jason Vineyard of High Point. Ushers included cousins of the groom Mickey Drumwright, Austin Drumwright, Trey Drumwright and George Howerton, all of Rougemont.
Serving as flower girls were niece of the groom Addison Farmer of Salisbury and cousins of the bride Ava Brown and Ali Brown of Rock Hill, S.C. Guest registrars were cousin of the bride Brittany Morgan and friend of the bride Olivia Nesbitt, both of Kannapolis.
The bride is the daughter of Dwight and Debra Sloan and the granddaughter of Earl and Merle Sloan and the late Charlie and Virginia Morgan, all of Kannapolis. A 2007 graduate of A.L. Brown High School, Miranda received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Finance from Wingate University in 2011. She is a Financial Services Representative at the State Employees’ Credit Union in Cornelius.
The groom is the son of Larry and Beth Farmer of Landis and the grandson of Hazeleen and the late Elby Price of Landis and the late Woodrow and Helen Farmer of China Grove. A 2003 graduate of South Rowan High School, Jonathan  received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education from Wingate University in 2007. He is currently enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte studying for his master’s degree in School Administration. Jonathan  is a teacher for Kannapolis City Schools.
The couple will make their home in Kannapolis.
