A 1-year-old child has drowned on Rockwood Drive near Faith in eastern Rowan County.
Authorities on the scene said the child went missing around 1:30 p.m. today and neighbors found him in a man-made pond in their front yard. The neighbors tried to revive the child, and so did emergency medical workers, but they could not.
Investigators are interviewing family members and neighbors.
