GREENSBORO (AP) — Officials in Greensboro say no decision has been made on reviewing a parking garage after a second man has jumped to his death.
The News & Record of Greensboro reported a man jumped from the parking deck earlier this week. Another man had jumped from the same spot Aug. 4.
Police spokeswoman Susan Danielsen said there was no connection between the deaths.
The parking deck has a wall on the eighth level, which is about three feet high. There is a solid metal bar over it, making the wall about 4 feet tall.
Greensboro transportation director Adam Fischer says the city has not discussed whether the walls on the parking decks should be taller. Fischer says the current wall meets the city’s building code requirement.
