NC man charged in wreck that killed daughter

DENTON (AP) — The N.C. Highway Patrol says a Denton man is charged with driving while impaired and felony death by motor vehicle after a traffic accident in which his 6-year-old daughter was killed.
The Asheboro Courier-Tribune reports that Rodney Harvey Foland was driving into his driveway when he turned into the path of an oncoming septic tank truck. The car was struck on the right side.
According to the patrol, Foland had taken his 4-year-old son, Tommy Dale Foland, to pick up his daughter, Rosalei Foland, at school on Friday. Tommy Foland is in Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem with what’s described as life-threatening injuries
Rodney Foland also a charge of careless and reckless driving. He’s jailed under a $50,000 bond.
