Hoffner ~ Allen

MOUNT ULLA — Laura Ann Hoffner of China Grove and Brian Robert Allen of Mount Ulla were united in marriage Saturday, July 28, 2012, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. Pastor Mary Louise Sitton and Pastor Bill Thrailkill officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at Millbridge Ruritan Club.
The bride was escorted by her father, Lonnie Hoffner. Sister of the bride Carrie Hoffner of Mooresville was maid of honor and cousin of the bride Suzanne White of Kannapolis was matron of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Laura Holshouser of Shelby; Jennifer Broadwell of Wendell; and Carla Hoell of Grifton. Flower girls were niece of the groom Molly Allen of Salisbury and cousin of the bride Emma White of Kannapolis.
Kevin Allen of Salisbury stood as his brother’s best man. Serving as groomsmen were father of the groom Barry Allen; Robert Willis of Elkin; A.J. Waller of Salisbury; and brother of the bride John Hoffner of Mooresville. Ring bearer was nephew of the groom Jacob Allen,of Salisbury.
Brad Massey of Mount Ulla served as Cross Bearer. Cousin of the bride,Mindy Corriher,was the registrar of guests. Caroline Sifford of Salisbury and Heather Everett of Clayton served as program attendants.
The bride is the daughter of Lonnie and Julie Hoffner of Mooresville. She is the granddaughter of James H. and Margaret Corriher of Mooresville and James W. and Ernestine Hoffner of Cleveland. Laura graduated from South Rowan High School in 2004 and North Carolina State University in 2008 with a degree in Agricultural Education. She is an agriculture teacher with the Rowan-Salisbury School System.
Brian is the son of Barry and Vicki Allen of Mount Ulla. He is the grandson of Mollie “Dollie” and the late Clyde Ray Sherrill of Mount Ulla and the late Nancy Stephens and the late H.S. “Dick” Allen. A 2003 graduate of West Rowan High School, Brian graduated from Catawba College in 2010 with a degree in Business Administration. He is employed by Delhaize America.  
Following a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple is making their home in China Grove.
