SALISBURY — No one appeared injured after a Toyota truck rolled over into the parking lot of a South Main Street business Wednesday morning.
Salisbury Police officer M.E. Morgan said the driver of a Mitsubishi sedan slammed into the back of the Toyota as it pulled into Rowan Bolt and Supply just before 10:30 a.m.
Cory Lingle, of Mt. Ulla, said he was stopping to buy bolts for his truck when he heard tires squealing.
“I didn’t know where it was coming from,” Lingle said. “Next thing I know, I was lying on my side.”
Before emergency crews arrived, Lingle said, he fumbled with his seat belt to get free.
“I unbuckled myself and fell to the other side of the truck,” he said.
The windshield was cracked and crews pulled it open to free him.
Bennie McCord and Ray Willberger were behind the two vehicles when they saw the collision.
“She ran up under him,” McCord said. “We were coming up behind it when it happened.”
Officer Morgan said the name of the Mitsubishi driver was not immediately available Wednesday morning.
Morgan said officers found 115 feet of skid marks behind the collision point.
No charges were immediately filed.
