SALISBURY — Deputies have obtained an arrest warrant for a 38-year-old woman accused of threatening a friend with a knife on Orphanage Road Friday.
Amy Gainey, of Crescent Road, is wanted on a felony charge of robbery with a dangerous weapon.
According to a Rowan County Sheriff’s Office report, Gainey demanded prescription medication from a man on Friday.
When he declined, officers said, Gainey pulled out a pocket knife and threatened the man.
The man gave her cash from his wallet, the report said, and the woman left on foot.
Authorities obtained a warrant for Gainey’s arrest Saturday.
Gainey was arrested in May after deputies said she stole two shotguns, a rifle and a pistol from a Morganton woman’s home. She was also accused of taking more than $3,000 in video games and other electronics.
Gainey was charged May 19 with felony possession of cocaine, felony larceny of a firearm and felony larceny.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office at 704-216-8700.
