Eleven charged in Enochville brawl

SALISBURY — Eleven people were charged in an Enochville fight orchestrated by the parents of juveniles, authorities said.
At least 19 people were at the fight in the 8000 block of Karriker Road on July 14, according to a Rowan County Sheriff’s Office report.
The incident was recorded on a cell phone and later uploaded to Facebook.
Investigators said they collected several cell phones from those accused of being involved in the fight.
During the investigation, deputies learned the incident had been set up and that parents of several children had brought the juveniles to Karriker Road to fight.
In one report, an officer said a teenage girl’s mother wanted her daughter to fight.
“The child’s mother arranged and encouraged her to fight against another female participant,” the report said.
A piece of the female juvenile’s clothing was torn during the fight, the report said, and the “fight participant’s bare breast was exposed.”
One juvenile also suffered a broken nose during the altercation.
Deputies said they found photos of a marijuana plant after seizing the cell phones used in the recording.
Authorities found a marijuana plant at nearby Montana Drive.
Some of those accused of being involved in the fight were also arrested on drug charges.
Those charged in the fight include:
• Lisa Lefler Sellers, 35, was charged with three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, misdemeanor child abuse and affray.
She was released after posting a $5,000 bond.
• Zachary Nichols, 17, was charged with cyber bullying, affray and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
He was released after posing a $2,500 bond.
• Randy Lefler, 55, was charged with affray and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
He was released after posting a $1,000 bond.
• Jonathan Shumake, 19, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
He is being held under a $1,000 bond.
• Victoria Salters, 17, was charged with cyber bullying and released after posting a $2,500 bond.
• Stacy Burg, 30, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and released after posting a $1,500 bond.
• Kristen Harwood, 17, was charged with affray. She was released after posting a $700 bond.
• Savannah VanCamp, 18, was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
She was cited and released.
• Richard VanCamp III, 42, was charged with manufacturing marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was released after posting a $1,000 bond.
• A 15-year-old female juvenile was also charged with manufacturing marijuana, affray and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was released to her father.
• A 15-year-old male juvenile was charged with affray and released to his parents.
