CONCORD – This spring, Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast celebrated the opening of its new Gateway Medical Office Building in Concord. With services ranging from orthopedics to heart healthy cooking classes, this new facility is dedicated to improving the quality of life of the community by focusing on overall health and wellness. In addition to an Urgent Care and the offices of Piedmont Orthopedic Specialists, Gateway is home to a state-of-the-art health and fitness facility that offers customized medical fitness programs, nutrition classes, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, as well as programs designed for chronic disease management. As a one-stop location for total wellness, there is also an occupational medicine practice, a Heart Success Clinic and a comprehensive rehabilitation clinic with an aquatic therapy pool, balance programs, speech and hearing services and a range of physical and occupational therapy options.
