Historic Salisbury Foundation recently purchased the 1820 Fulton-Blackmer House at 112 S. Fulton St. from Jonathan Blackmer, who inherited the structure after his mother Suzanne Blackmer’s death in 2004. In this photograph, Salisbury firemen move onto the roof during the Dec. 1, 1984, fire that devastated the structure. The foundation recently purchased the historic home for $110,000 and plans to restore it. This photograph is from the Salisbury Post files.
