WINSTON-SALEM — Krispy Kreme is celebrating its 75th birthday on Friday with three new birthday doughnuts, a sweet buy — a dozen at regular price and get a dozen for 75 cents deal — and a chance for one lucky U.S. fan to win a trip to any Krispy Kreme Shop in the world.
“We continue to be energized by our fans’ passion for Krispy Kreme, as well as their enthusiasm for sharing our one-of-a-kind treats with family and friends,” says Dwayne Chambers, chief marketing officer, Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation. “We are thrilled to celebrate this exciting milestone with fans in our hometown, and with millions of doughnut fans around the world.”
Krispy Kreme introduced its signature sweet treats on July 13, 1937, in Winston-Salem. Krispy Kreme doughnuts can be found at more than 690 shops in 21 countries and 10,000 mass merchants and grocery stores in the United States.
Krispy Kreme’s new birthday doughnuts are available in three varieties, now through Aug. 19.
The birthday doughnut is an Original Glazed doughnut topped with chocolate, strawberry or white icing, rainbow sprinkles and a rosette of sweet KREME icing.
Only on July 13, buy a dozen doughnuts and get a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts for just 75 cents at any participating Krispy Kreme U.S. location.
