ROCKWELL — Deputies are searching for a 17-year-old girl who is missing after authorities said she ran away from Nazareth Children’s Home June 22.
Tiara Lashawn Toney, of Crescent Road, left on foot about 3 p.m. She was last seen wearing blue sweat pants, an orange shirt and was carrying a blue suitcase, a Rowan County Sheriff’s Office report said.
Deputies said she is believed to be in the Charlotte area.
A relative told deputies they thought they recognized her walking along Sharon Amity Road on Wednesday.
Detectives have entered her into the national missing persons database.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact investigator Jon Brindle at 704-216-8706.
