SALISBURY — The Rowan County United Way has named Denise Hallett its 2012-13 Campaign Chairman.
Hallett, of Salisbury, manages external affairs for Vulcan Materials’ southern North Carolina region. Vulcan produces crushed stone for the construction industry.
Hallett has served in different capacities with the United Way and has been instrumental in working with the agency’s Day of Caring.
“Denise is one of the finest people I know. She is dedicated and truly cares about our community,” said Jackie Harris, resource development and marketing director for the United Way.
Hallett is in the process of developing a goal and recruiting a cabinet for this year’s campaign.
The campaign kick off is in September.
The United Way exceeded its goal last year and Hallett wants to continue that with this year’s campaign.
