Kevin Monroe, member of the Democratic National Convention Committee, will be in Salisbury on Thursday to provide an update on the convention and information on how interested persons can become involved in this event.
The Democratic National Convention will be held in Charlotte on Sept. 3-6. Salisbury may be hosting some of the events for delegates during the convention, and various volunteer activities are available both here and in Charlotte.
Monroe is deputy director of the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and Outreach for the Democratic National Committee. He will be speaking to the Rowan County Democrats at 7 p.m. in the J. Newton Cohen Sr. Room located on the second floor of the J. Newton Cohen Sr. Rowan County Administration Building, 130 W. Innes St., Salisbury.
