Salisbury couple charged with embezzeling

Two Salisbury residents suspected of embezzling more than $300,000 from Randall Andrews, president of Alchem Inc. of Rockwell, are behind bars.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office charged Robert Allen Wolcott Jr., 46, and Denise K. Wolcott, 43, both of Sweet Pea Lane in Salisbury, with embezzlement Friday. They each received a $350,000 secured bond.
Arrest warrants indicate the two worked at Alchem and are accused of embezzling about $319,700.
The Salisbury Police Department has also charged Robert Wolcott with felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was found with a homemade smoking device with a brush in the end used to smoke crack, according to an arrest warrant.
Those charges yielded an additional $2,500 bond.
No further details about the arrests were available Saturday.

The Sheriff’s Office charged Jared Charbonneau, 31, of Bank St. in Rockwell with felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods and obtaining property by false pretenses on Friday.
He is accused of stealing a complete bedroom and living room suite worth $3,000 and selling the bed for $150.
Both Charbonneau was released from jail after posting $5,000 bond.
