FAITH — Put your dancing shoes on.
The town of Faith is hosting a street dance starting at 7 p.m. tonight.
The dance began in 1964 as a kick off to the annual Faith Fourth of July festivities, but it died out about two decades ago.
The town’s merchants are bringing the long-standing tradition back to live.
Several blocks of Main Street will be closed off starting at 6 p.m.
Live music by Rowan County’s The Nostalgia Band will start at 7 p.m. The dance band performs everything from rock to blues and boasts instruments including trumpet, drum and guitar.
