CHINA GROVE — The Price of Freedom Museum and Carolina Military Vehicle Preservation Association will cosponsor D-Day Remembrance at the museum at 2420 Weaver Road in China Grove. There will be military vehicle displays and displays and demonstrations of weapons and other militaria from all war eras, and access to the Museum.
The event begins on Friday, June 1, with the arrival, setup and overnight camping for military vehicle owners and displayers.
On Saturday, June 2, the museum and outdoor displays will open at 9 a.m. The museum open all day, there will be a VA mobile unit on site, and a free gift for all vets.
At 10 a.m. there will be a special flag-raising ceremony honoring all veterans, featuring Neil Wilkerson singing the national anthem and the South Rowan ROTC Color Guard.
The event will last until 3 p.m. The museum will be open all day and the whole event is free except for food and drink. Visit www.priceoffreedom.us for more details.
