Misenheimer – Palmatary

HIGHLANDS, N.C. — Mary Craig Misenheimer and Richard Edward Aaron Palmatary of North Little Rock, Ark., were united in marriage Saturday, May 19, 2012, at The Farm at Old Edwards Inn. Pastor Craig Sigmon of St. James Lutheran Church in Rockwell officiated at the half-after four o’clock ceremony in the garden at The Farm.
A cocktail hour followed with piano music provided by Michael Marini of Greenville, N.C., in the restored historic barn and continued in the Glass Pavilion with dinner and dancing. Music for the reception was provided by In the Pocket.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Tony R. Misenheimer. Sisters of the bride Heather Stepp and Caroline Connolly, both of Greenville, N.C., were matrons of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Shae Farris and Brianna Mundy, both of Raleigh; Bethaney Ryals of Norcross, Ga.; Courtney Hancock of Springfield, Mo.; Catherine Coates of Los Angeles, Calif.; Ashley Fischer of San Francisco, Calif.; and Staci Ginsburg of Charlotte. The bride’s nieces, Olivia Stepp and Stella Stepp of Greenville, N.C., and the groom’s niece, Emma Erwin of Fayetteville, Ark., were flower girls.
Ted Craft of Fort Smith, Ark., served as best man. Groomsmen were Omar Akel and Wes Karber, both of Little Rock, Ark.; Derek Stepp and Sean Connolly, both of Greenville, N.C.; Chris Erwin of Fayetteville, Ark.; Michael Sharp of Fort Smith, Ark.; and Mel Heaps of Maumelle, Ark.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Asheville String Trio. Liturgist was Bethany Karber of Little Rock, Ark. Program attendant was Savanna Farris of Raleigh, and reception greeters were Ronnie and Susan Loflin of Granite Quarry.
The bride, daughter of Tony R. and Jeannie Misenheimer of Rockwell, is the granddaughter of the late W.T. and Burline Misenheimer of Rockwell and the late James and Flora Rives of Purcellville, Va. A 2003 graduate of East Rowan High School, Mary Craig received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from East Carolina University in 2006, where she was an ECU Scholar and a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She received a Masters in Accounting from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business/Leventhal School of Accounting in 2008. A Certified Public Accountant, she is a Financial Examiner with INS Regulatory Insurance Services.
The groom, son of Don E. and Karen Palmatary of Fort Smith, Ark., is the grandson of Donald and the late Jean Palmatary and Lawrence R. and the late Antoinette Lee Mitchell, all of Fort Smith, Ark. A 1996 graduate of Southside High School in Fort Smith, he received a BSBA with a double major in Accounting and Finance from the University of Arkansas Sam M. Walton School of Business in 2000. A Certified Public Accountant, he is also a Financial Examiner with INS Regulatory Insurance Services.
Following a wedding trip to Maui and Fiji, the couple will reside in North Little Rock, Ark.
“Extended Courtesies”
A bridal luncheon honoring the bride and her attendants was held Friday the 18th in the Hummingbird Lounge at Old Edwards Inn, hosted by the bride’s aunt Carolyn Funkhouser of Franklin, Va. A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents Don and Karen Palmatary was held Friday evening at Wolfgang’s Restaurant and Wine Bistro in Highlands.
A 5K “I Do Dash” took place on Saturday morning through the town of Highlands hosted by the bride and groom, who led the field of runners.
