SALISBURY — Authorities said a project coordinator for KMD Construction embezzled nearly $4,000 from the company to pay rent.
Susan Diane Green, 2350 Kinnamon Road, Winston Salem, was arrested at the business on Old West Innes Street about 11:30 p.m. Monday and charged with felony embezzlement.
According to a Salisbury Police report, the 48-year-old used $3,900 of the company’s money to pay six months of rent at her apartment.
Capt. Shelia Lingle said police are continuing to investigate and more embezzlement charges are expected.
Investigators are looking into financial discrepancies since 2010, Lingle said.
Green was in jail today under a $10,000 bond.
