Landis Elementary wins Battle of the Books

Students from Landis Elementary School beat out 14 other teams to take home first place in the regional Battle of the Books contest Monday.
The Battle of the Books program creates interest and excitement in reading through a game format.
Elementary students read a total of 18 books this year from a variety of literary styles .
Students spend months reading and practicing for competition both at home and before school.
After winning the district competition in March, Landis Elementary students Haley Sloop, Addi Watson, Hannah Wallace, Gabe Duncan and Anna Blume represented the Rowan-Salisbury School System in the Elementary Battle of the Books regional competition.
