SALISBURY — A Salisbury man told deputies he was robbed at gunpoint when he met a friend at an intersection Friday morning.
According to a Rowan County Sheriff’s Office report, Jared Chardonneau told deputies Behtan Hashemzadeh asked to meet him to borrow $50.
But when Chardonneau showed up, the report said, a former coworker pointed a handgun at him.
Chardonneau met the two at Coley and Stone roads in Salisbury about 2 a.m., a police report said.
He told deputies Hashemzadeh was driving a Ford Ranger pickup and recognized the passenger as Michael Fulcher.
He and Fulcher worked together at a Food Lion warehouse several years ago, the report said.
When Fulcher approached, he pulled out a handgun, and grabbed the handful of cash Chardonneau was holding, the report said.
Deputies have obtained warrants for Fulcher for felony robbery with a dangerous weapon, and also have warrants for Hashemzadeh on charges of felony aiding and abetting an armed robbery.
