Frost could hit the region overnight

Patchy frost is forecast for tonight.

The National Weather Service issued a weather outlook covering western North Carolina thats says “patchy frost is likely across much of the area overnight.”
A frost advisory might even be issued later today if the spring chill deepens.
The forecast calls for a low of 33 overnight, with frost hitting after 3 a.m. The high Tuesday is forecast to be in the low 60s, with gusty winds reaching as high as 28 miles an hour, and clear skies.
The forecast low overnight Tuesday into Wednesday is in the low 40s.
