Later this year, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s National Clean Diesel Campaign will award approximately $20 million in grants to reduce diesel emissions.
Organizations that are implementing strategies to reduce emissions from existing diesel engines may submit applications until June 4.  The strategies include emission-control and idle-reduction technologies; cleaner fuels; engine upgrades or replacements; and/or vehicle or equipment replacements.
Program officials anticipate that they will notify those organizations selected for the grants in July.
