Two Salisbury BP gas stations will be giving away 10 cents off the price of each gallon for up to 20 gallons on Friday.
The locations are 601 Jake Alexander Blvd., from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 929 Jake Alexander Blvd., from 3 to 6:30 p.m.
On Saturday, April 21, the BP station at 1517 Innes St. will offer the same deal from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The discounts are part of BP’s new Pump Rewards program with 33 Charlotte-area BP gas stations giving drivers 10 cents off the price of each gallon on a purchase of up to 20 gallons at participating BP stations this month. Those at selected stations will receive a one-time use card to receive a rebate at the pump the same way they would redeem earnings on the BP Visa and BP Card with Pump Rewards.

Chamber’s legislative breakfast set
The Rowan County Chamber Of Commerce’s legislative breakfast is Friday, April 27, from 7:30-9 a.m. at the Holiday Inn of Salisbury.
All three legislators Sen. Andrew Brock, Rep. Fred Steen and Rep. Harry Warren, have confirmed their attendance.
Each legislator will have 10 minutes to present legislative issues they feel are important to the business community followed by a Q&A session.

SALISBURY — Bank of America has announced David Murdaugh is the small business banker who will serve Salisbury, providing more personalized attention to small business owners.
Bank of America has hired 45 new small business bankers across North and South Carolina to provide guidance and counsel to local small business owners. It’s part of its strategy to hire more than 1,000 new small business bankers nationwide by mid-2012. Twelve bankers have been hired in the Metro Charlotte area.

The 90-minute program April 2 at the College of Charleston campus in South Carolina included discussions on crises that have occurred in the sports, corporate and nonprofit sectors.

The Salisbury office of Home Instead Senior Care has joined Rufty-Holmes Senior Center and Salisbury Police Department to schedule Operation Medicine Cabinet for April 21 from 9 a.m. to noon.
You can dispose of any expired or no longer used prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
Seniors and their family members can drop medicine at Rufty-Holmes Senior Center, 1120 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., where the Salisbury Police Department will oversee the project.
Medications collected will be destroyed.
