Minor accidents cause big back-ups on I-85
SPENCER — N.C. Highway Patrol troopers are working to get traffic moving again on Interstate-85 southbound at the Yadkin River Bridge after two accidents and a broken vehicle caused a back-up.
The accidents — both involving property damage and no injuries — occurred near the 86 and 87 mile markers this afternoon, a Highway Patrol dispatcher said.
One accident has been cleared, and troopers are nearly done with the second, the dispatcher said at 4 p.m.
The broken vehicle has been removed from the interstate, he said.
