SALISBURY — A popular restaurant and bakery in downtown Salisbury has closed for a week due to a family emergency.
The Sweetest Thing closed Monday and will not reopen before Saturday, co-owner Lynne Harrell said.
“It is not our intention to stay closed,” Harrell said.
While the business has placed a hold on taking new orders, Harrell said the Sweetest Thing will complete all standing orders and has been in touch with clients who are expecting baked goods or catering.
“We will fulfill all of our obligations,” she said.
The restaurant will provide more information as soon as it becomes available, Harrell said.
