Ingrid Erickson of Salisbury has been awarded a fellowship by the Jentel Artist Residency Program. She plans to use her residency to create a new body of work in cut paper and cut paper on panel that focuses on the varied species of native birds and plants found on site.
Jentel is located in a rural setting on a working cattle ranch in the Lower Piney Creek Valley approximately 20 miles southeast of Sheridan, Wyoming.
Erickson earned a B.A. in art history and studio art minor from Middlebury College in 2003, and received her K-12 studio art certification at the Maine College of Art in Portland in 2008.
Her love of cut paper was rekindled by two years of living and teaching in China and Thailand.
Her studio is at Rail Walk Studios and Gallery, 409 N. Lee Street.
