Last week, the Historic Salisbury Foundation shared ‘before’ pictures of the two properties here and asked readers to identify the houses and where they are located. The two-story house is the Bean-Cathey-Gillam Rental House, now known simply as the Cathey House. It is located at 722 S. Fulton St. and was built circa 1905. At one time, the house was divided into apartments. Barbara and Gordon Senter restored it, and the house is now occupied by Sean and Capri Brixey. The one-story residence is the T.J. Anderson Cottage at 500 W. Council St. It was built around 1911. Historic Salisbury Foundation purchased the house, restored it and sold it in 1996. Tom Wolpert and Joe Lancione now own the house. In this monthly before-after contest, marking the foundation’s 40th anniversary, Kimi Matthews was able to identify the Cathey House and its location from the ‘before’ photo last week. Another set of before and after photos will run in April.
