SALISBURY — A Salisbury teen received minor injuries after she lost control of her car, causing it to overturn and land in an embankment on Stokes Ferry Road.
Kara Helen Fenton-Ray, 17, of 230 Castle Keep Road, was heading to work at Wendy’s when she lost control of her car, overcorrected and ran off the right side of the road, said Highway Patrol Trooper A.J. Carpenter.
Witnesses said her car overturned before landing in an embankment in front of a house on Stoke Ferry Road. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. today. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Witnesses also said the teen was responsive, but had a visible injury to her head.
Fenton-Ray asked homeowners, Lee Oddie and Alex Lee along with their friend, Shannon File, to call her father. The three were sitting on the porch when they heard tires squealing and saw the car flip and land near a creek bed.
Fenton-Ray was taken to hospital.
