Black tar heroin found during arrest

SALISBURY — Authorities said a Kannapolis woman was carrying black tar heroin when they arrested her on probation violation charges Wednesday.
Probation officers caught Melissa Ann Sechler, 28, at 1813 E. Innes St., according to arrest reports, and said Sechler was carrying two plastic bags of black tar heroin, totaling 1.35 grams.
Police also found two syringes, two loose pills and a spoon with brown residue.
Sechler, of 5520 Cabin Lane, Kannapolis, was charged with felony possession of heroin and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was also charged with two counts of probation violation.
In September, Sechler was convicted of felony obtaining a controlled substance by fraud.
