Lee Street presents Improv Comedy

Published 12:00 am Wednesday, February 29, 2012

Lee Street Theatre will host two evenings of “A Night of Improv Comedy” starring Now Are The Foxes!
Performance dates are tonight and Friday, March 1 and 2. Doors open at 6:45; the show begins at 7:30 p.m.
Tonight is “clean comedy night” with G-rated humor that is fun and appropriate for anyone. The Friday show may contain adult language and content, so it’s best not to bring children to this performance.
Relying heavily on audience participation the style of the show is speed-of-thought humor where the audience provides suggestions to build the characters, guide the plots, and raise the stakes for the ever-ready cast.
Leading the festivities is Now Are The Foxes, a cast of near-equity-eligible performers: Emily Bartsch, Jacob Asher, Cale Evans, Lizzle Davis, Casey Suddeth — and many more too ashamed to be named.
Leave your troubles at the door, because by the end of this two-act mad dash you’ll be tickled to the point of exhaustion.
Every show is different, so come both nights! Admission is $10, student ID $5. Beer and wine will be available courtesy of The Sweetest Thing Bakery.
Lee Street Theatre is not set up to take reservations, so come early and enjoy the art gallery (featuring art from local Rowan County students), and the LGAC artists’ shop. Looking Glass Artists Collective is located at 405 N. Lee St. at the corner of Kerr.
