Union Grove Old Time Fiddlers Convention set for April 6-7

UNION GROVE — VanHoy Farms has announced the return of the Union Grove Old Time Fiddlers Convention April 6 and 7.
The best in bluegrass and old-time music will be showcased on two stages in two days at VanHoy Farms.
More than $6,000 will be given away in prize money to the best bands and individuals in bluegrass and old-time music categories.
The main stage will be under roof in the H.P. VanHoy Arena, with seating for 10,000 people. A second stage will be outside by the “Old Tobacco Barn.”
VanHoy Farms on Jericho Road is a full-service campground, accommodating all kinds of campers, from full hookups to primitive tent sites.
The return of Union Grove Old Time Fiddlers Convention is separate from the annual Fiddlers Grove Festival held over Memorial Day weekend.
Tickets to the April 6-7 convention are $10 Friday and $15 Saturday. Two-day advanced tickets are $20. Kids 12 and under are free.

Food vendors will be on site during the event. Alcohol and drugs will not be permitted in the campground.
A general store also will be open during the convention and will be selling camping supplies, food, water and ice.
