The moral of the play is never judge anybody by how they look. It doesn’t matter about what’s on the outside; it’s about what is on the inside. The moral was good because it teaches that it doesn’t matter what they look like.
— Nadiya Wilson
The play Honk, Jr.! was very good. Ugly didn’t know he was a swan at the time. My favorite scene was when they were flying because the cat was acting like she was going to fall. My favorite character was the cat because she had a funny accent. She was also stealth and quick.
— Jackson LaTurno
I watched Honk Jr. on February 21. The scenery was near a lake. The play was about respecting differences. My favorite character was Ugly. Ugly was played by Anthony Cataldo. I like Ugly because he did a very good job acting. I also loved Ugly because he was proud of himself even when people were mean to him. I also thought the cat did a good job. She was played by McClain Miles. I was impressed by the cat because she used cool expressions.

Today, my class went to see Honk, Jr. at the Norvell Theatre for a field trip. I liked all the cast but I have one favorite character and that was Drake played by Jon Mitchell from North Rowan High School. I liked Drake or Jon because he was very exciting and he used a lot of expression. I also liked him because Shelley Porter-Waller made a great costume for Drake. As soon as I walked into the stage area at the Norvell Theatre, I noticed that Kristen Klaus and Aaron Cheshire from North Rowan High School did great. My favorite scene was when they met with the wild geese. I liked that scene because all the characters were dressed up like Army warriors. I also enjoyed the scene because the shooting sounds made it feel like they were in a war. The lesson of this story was not to bully and respect differences and to always have courage.
— Nolan Eudy
I really liked the play Honk, Jr. It looked to me like they were really into it and it was incredible. I didn’t have a favorite character, but if I had to choose it would be Ugly because he was a great performer. The costumes were amazing. It seemed like the characters weren’t acting, they were really living there on the pond. I think anyone who watches the play will really like it.
— Kyndal McGee
The performance of Honk, Jr. was awesome. The people in the play were very talented. The outfits they had were very colorful and creative. The cattails and grass for the scenes were neat. I like the cat who was always annoying Honk. My favorite part was where the army people were dancing! The cast all sang very well.
— Haley Richards
What I think about the Honk, Jr. play was that it was great and I would love to go see it again. There’s nothing that I would change and there’s nothing that I didn’t like. I liked the characters. My favorite characters were the swans because I think they were so sweet. That’s my opinion though. The costumes were cute.

Today we went on a field trip to see a play called Honk, Jr. I really liked the play. I could tell they put a lot of effort and work into this play. The costumes were amazing. Whoever made them were really good. The characters were very well thought out like Cat and Penny those were my favorites! The moral in this story is don’t tease or make fun of someone else.
— Gracie Corriher
My favorite part of the story was when the Dad said, “We made a monster!” The characters had different accents. They all dressed up like birds. In the story, Ugly at first did not fit in because he looked different from the other ducklings. At the end of the show Ugly turned out to be a swan. When the cat tricked Ugly, she tried to kill and eat him.
— Braxton Stanley
I loved the Honk, Jr. play. It was very nice. My favorite character was the cat. I liked it when the cat lied about when she was Ugly’s friend and tried to take him to her house and eat him. I loved the cat costume because it was all black. The second part I liked was when the egg Ugly was in shook and everybody made fun of him. I loved this show so much! It was wonderful!
