CONCORD — A Cabarrus County man is being held on a $500,000 bond after being accused of online child pornography activity.
Darrel Paul Donahue, 47, of Rocky River Road, is charged with second degree sexual exploitation of a minor and is in the Cabarrus County jail.
Detectives with Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office and Concord Police joined Department of Homeland Security agents to execute a search warrant at Donahue’s home.
The Sheriff’s Office started investigating when it learned child pornography had been transmitted from the home via computer.
After discovering Homeland Security had an open investigation on the same house, the sheriff’s office helped in the operation that led to Donahue’s arrest.
