Spring exhibits open at Waterworks

Waterworks’ spring exhibition, “Multiplicity,” opens Feb. 18 and runs through May 12.
Two solo exhibitions by featured artists David M. Kessler of Winston-Salem, and Juie Rattley III of Kernersville, and a group show featuring 22 artists from Artworks Gallery, Winston-Salem, explore multiple connections through works in multiple mediums.
The opening reception is Friday, Feb. 24 from 6-8 p.m., wtih informal gallery talks beginning at 5 p.m. Light refreshments will be served with piano accompaniment by Caroline Firczak. This event is free and open to the public.
The exhibition also features “Celebrating Rowan County’s Young Artists,” a rotating exhibition showcasing artwork from Salisbury-Rowan County’s public, independent, and home-schooled students. Now in its 29th year, this display features the works of nearly 800 students. A reception to honor the students and their families, the art specialists and school administrators is held during each exhibition rotation. This exhibition reception is March 1 from 5-6:30 p.m.
