SALISBURY — A Salisbury man came home Tuesday to find his home had been ransacked and more than $10,000 in items missing.
The 35-year-old also found animal waste and trash “thrown on the floor,” a Rowan County Sheriff’s Office report said.
Deputies said a lawnmower, television, tools and paint guns were taken from the home.
The refrigerator was tipped over and the condenser was cut, the report said, and the wires on the washing machine and dryer had also been severed.
A 1990 Chevy pickup that sat in the back yard was also damaged. Officers said the hood and headlights appeared to have been damaged with a baseball bat.
Investigators are continuing to work the case and ask that anyone with information contact the Sheriff’s Office at 704-216-8700.
