KANNAPOLIS — The North Carolina Music Hall of Fame Museum, with title sponsor Rowan Regional Medical Center, will host the first annual “Rhythm & Run” 5K at 9 a.m. June 16 in Kannapolis.
The 5K run will begin downtown in Cannon Village adjacent to the museum. The certified course runs through the N.C. Research Campus and continues onto the scenic trails of the Kannapolis Parks and Recreation Greenway.
This one-of-a-kind race will showcase music throughout the event by artists who have inducted into the Music Hall of Fame.
Participants are encouraged to register in advance at www.sportoften.com or in person at 109 West A St. in Kannapolis.
Top finishers in each category will win awards. All proceeds will go to the N.C. Music Hall of Fame, a 501(C) non-profit organization.
Non-runners are encouraged to volunteer.
