Bringle Handy Wedding

Jennifer Catherine Bringle and Rodney Dale Handy were united in marriage Oct. 1, 2011, at Haven Lutheran  Church. The Rev. W. Edward Harper Jr. officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at Rowan Museum.
The bride was escorted by her father, Roderick Bringle, and attended by her sisters, Wendy Bringle of Salisbury as  maid of honor and Dawn Morgan of Kannapolis as matron of honor. Her bridesmaids were Holly Morgan and Heather Morgan of Kannapolis, as well as Mandy Sherman of Raleigh.
The best man was father of the groom Rodger Handy. Serving as groomsmen were Rick Owen, Brad Wilson and Kevin  Benson, all of Greensboro, and Tony Pate of Moyock.
Clay Pate of Moyock was candlelighter.
The bride is the daughter of Roderick and the late Judy Bringle of Salisbury and the granddaughter of the late Clarence and Marjorie Long of Salisbury and the late Garland and Annie Bringle of Granite Quarry. A 1997 graduate of North Rowan High School, Jennifer graduated from North Carolina State University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, majoring in Mass Communications and minoring in Journalism. A freelance writer, she is also the communications and social media manager at Salem Academy and College in Winston-Salem.
The groom is the son of Rodger and Sheila Handy of King and the grandson of Esther and the late Lawrence Handy of Winston-Salem and the late Ferris and Kay Dulaney of Mount Airy. A 1994 graduate of R.J. Reynolds High School, Rodney also studied at Forsyth Tech. He is a seating specialist at United Seating and Mobility in Greensboro.
Following a week-long wedding trip to Playa Mujeres, Mexico, the couple are making their home in Greensboro.
