Deputies released a photo today from surveillance video of a suspect in an armed robbery at Ron’s Quick Grocery.
The man walked into the store at 418 S. Enochville Ave. Tuesday afternoon and pointed a small black handgun at two clerks and demanded money.
Deputies said the robber left with an undisclosed amount of money about 3:30 p.m. and was last seen heading toward Tuckaseegee Road.
The two clerks told officers the robber was a white male, wearing khakis, white tennis shoes and a green sweatshirt hoodie with the hood pulled over his head.
The report said the man also had a “green knitted woman-style scarf” around his face.
Deputies used a police dog to follow a scent about 150 yards from the business.
Authorities believe the man had a vehicle waiting at that location.
Anyone with information is asked to contact investigator Tracy Misenheimer at 704-216-8704, Lt. Chad Moose at 704-216-8687 or Crime Stoppers at 866-639-5245.
