Walton completes basic training, MCT
PVT Christopher Ryan Walton graduated from Marine Corps basic training at Parris Island Oct. 28, 2011.
Following a brief leave spent at home, he went to Camp Geiger for combat training.
Walton is continuing his training as an Aviation Supply Specialist at Military Occupational School in Meridian, Miss.
A 2011 honor graduate of East Rowan High School, Walton is the son of Harlan and Kim Walton of Gold Hill and the grandson of Jr. and Helen Walton of Salisbury.
