Sloan promoted to E6 class with U.S. Navy
Yeoman Second Class (Surface Warfare) James T. Sloan was recently promoted to Petty Officer First Class (E6) in the United States Navy.
He is attached to the USS GEORGE H.W. BUSH (CVN-77) in Norfolk, Va., and deployed as an Individual Augmentee to Iraq in March 2011 in support of Operation NEW DAWN.
A native of Salisbury and 2004 graduate of North Rowan High School, Spencer, Petty Officer Sloan is the son of Ms. Beverly H. Sloan and the late Mr. Terry W. Stockton, Sr.
