SALISBURY — A homeless man was arrested Friday afternoon after police said he fell asleep in a stolen tractor trailer.
Officers found the rig in the 1000 block of East Innes Street and said Kenneth Earl Little was asleep inside.
The truck had a broken passenger window and had been reported stolen out of High Point, the report said.
When officers asked Little why he stole the truck, the report said, Little told them, “Cops look for cars, not big trucks.”
Little was charged with felony breaking and entering into a vehicle, felony larceny, felony vehicle theft, and outstanding warrants for felony obtaining property by false pretense and failure to appear in court.
He was given a $65,350 bond and was in jail on Monday.
