Salisbury Police and Fire Departments will be on the roof of Krispy Kreme throughout the weekend to solicit donations for the Toys for Tots program.
The fourth annual “Up On the Rooftop” toy drive asks for new, unwrapped toys or monetary gifts at the 1428 W. Innes St. doughnut shop.
Mayor Susan Kluttz was at the store on Friday.
She made a donation to Toys for Tots, which is sponsored nationally by the Marine Corps Reserve, and cut event organizer Arbe Arbelaez’ hair for Locks of Love.
This is the fourth year Salisbury’s emergency crews have gathered on the store’s rooftop to help raise money and toys for disadvantaged children.
They will be on the roof until about 3 p.m. Sunday.
