Brady earns Eagle Award

Marshall William Brady, 13, of Scout Troop 443, received his Eagle Scout award Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011, during the 11 a.m. service at Milford Hills United Methodist Church. Scoutmaster Henry Trexler presented the award.
Marshall is currently the Senior Patrol Leader for Troop 443, which is sponsored by St. John’s Lutheran Church. A member of Order of the Arrow, he has earned 36 merit badges; was Scout of the Year for 2010; and has earned the 50 Miler Award, World Conservation Award, Fish and Wildlife Conservation Award, 7 Historic Trail Awards; and as a Cub Scout, earned the Arrow of Light.
In 2010, Marshall attended the National Scout Jamboree, where 100 years of scouting were celebrated.
As his Eagle project, Marshall built two foot bridges and blazed a trail behind the Old Stone House in Granite Quarry, which is owned by Rowan Museum. He was since honored at Rowan Museum’s 58th Anniversary meeting.
The son of Elizabeth and John Brady Jr. of Salisbury, Marshall is an eighth-grader at Knox Middle  School.
