Safrit Thompson Engagement

Cass and Pam Safrit of Salisbury are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Cassie Annette Safrit, to Zachary Kyle Thompson, also of Salisbury.
Cassie is the granddaughter of Lester and Faye Peeler of Mount Ulla, Bruce and the late Inez Safrit of Salisbury and the late Martha Peeler. She attended West Rowan High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism in 2004 from Ithaca College. In 2011, she graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. Cassie is a first-grade teacher  at Woodleaf Elementary School for the Rowan-Salisbury School System.
Zach is the son of Johnny and Ellen Thompson of Woodleaf and Tim and Debbie Goodman of Salisbury; and the grandson of Vic and Ruby Thompson of Linwood, Jim and Carol Johnson of Lexington and the late Faris Rogers. He attended East Rowan High School and is a 2004 graduate of East Carolina University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Zach is a sales and customer service representative at Promats Athletics.
The wedding is Dec. 31 at Stallings Memorial Baptist Church in Salisbury.
