Hamel Anniversary

Walter and Jill Hamel of China Grove celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on the 12th of November 2011. They gathered with family on their special day to honor each of these 56 years.
The couple met at Carolina Beach and later married in 1955. They have two children: Sharon Dorsett and husband David of Salisbury and Kim Sutherland and husband Randy of China Grove.
They have four grandchildren: Michael Dorsett of Salisbury; Keith Dorsett of Salisbury; Ashley Baker and husband Dale of Kannapolis; and Amber McSwain and husband Matthew of Mount Holly.
They have two great-grandchildren: Ben McSwain and Bayla McSwain, both of Mount Holly.
Walter is a retired CPA, and Jill is a homemaker.
